Superhero News Round-Up

This week, there's been quite a lot going on in the world of superhero news, not least the release of the new Green Lantern movie (expect my exclusive review tomorrow!), so in case you missed some of the big revelations, here's a summary of the majority of them:
  • The soundtrack of Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark is out now, and while I can't confess it to be any kind of masterpiece, Bono & The Edge have at least captured the spirit of the original film trilogy well and written a great theme in Rise Above. Not essential, but perhaps in context with the production it might prove a good companion piece. 3/5
  • Russell Crowe is Jor-El! Or at least his voice: the actor, recently seen in Robin Hood, has been reported by Deadline to portray the disembodied memory of Clark Kent's biological father in 2012's reboot Man of Steel, guiding Superman to his destiny...
  • Is Liam Neeson returning to the world of Batman? Rumour has it the actor was seen filming scenes of his return as Ra's Al Ghul in The Dark Knight Rises, the final instalment in Christopher Nolan's trilogy- in the comics Ghul is immortal, so perhaps he is resurrected? Rises releases next Summer.
