2011 Most Anticipated Games #8: Forza Motorsport 4
It's a new Forza- nuff said, right...? Even after half a decade of waiting, Gran Turismo 5 failed to reach the innovation and general quality of 2009's Forza Motorsport 3 when it finally arrived last year, and that gives a very strong starting point for the latest instalment of the Xbox-exclusive franchise to build on this Autumn. That's not to say that Turn 10 Studios have rested on their laurels and given us the same old experience as always, though (*cough* Call of Duty *cough*)- Kinect support and extensive cameos from Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson throughout are going to ensure this will be a racing experience like never before. Those who are worrying about this being another Kinect Joy Ride need not worry when they see the former addition, as it's merely used for head tracking to look around corners as you turn and to inspect each of the hundreds of cars on offer before taking them onto the track. All that remains for the developer to do is provide a better (if light) narrative than they did before so we can get a serious reason to play offline, but no matter what happens regarding the campaign expect the most refined entry in the series yet! Forza Motorsport 4 is out on October 21st.
