We haven't seen much of Alien: Colonial Marines since the science-fiction shooter began development in 2006, however yesterday SEGA unveiled the upcoming video game with a brand new trailer and the promise of more details at E3. The press release of the announcement reads: "Colonial Marines begins with an ostensibly abandoned ship, recovered in orbit around LV-426. Players lead a group of highly trained United States Colonial Marines as they board the deserted craft to uncover the fate of the crew. They will have to survive unspeakable horrors and their own anxieties as they chase down the truth behind a galaxy-spanning deception that places humanity at the mercy of the mmost murderous and deadly species in the universe." SEGA have said we should expect "an exhilarating and engaging new chapter in the Alien universe", and going by the synopsis I think the developer is right to make that claim. Alien: Colonial Marines is due out on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in Spring 2012.
