I confirmed to you last week that The Hangover: Part II was a great comedy success, a worthy sequel to one of the all time classics of the 2000s. Clearly people agree, as the film has already grossed over $100 million in its first weeked at cinemas worldwide, and as such Warner Brothers have confirmed that work has already begun on a script for a Hangover 3, with the screenplay due to be written by Craig Mazin. Mazin, writer of other hilarious flicks such as Superhero Movie and Scary Movie 3, is a newcomer to this franchise who, we hope, can find a way past the format of the first two films as it will certainly look bad if the next instalment is as similar to the first as the second was (second time's a charm, third time's not!). Currently there is no release date set for The Hangover 3, but I'd wager if everyone's on board for another entry then we should expect it in the Summer of 2013.
