It's been ten years since Marvel VS Capcom 2 graced arcades, and the side-scrolling fighter genre has moved on since then. The latter franchise's Street Fighter games have evolved over the decade to the point that Super Street Fighter IV (9/10) was one of the best examples of titles of this icke ever. So we can all agree that Marvel VS Capcom 3 is under a lot of pressure to top that...what does it do new? The main addition is in a mode dubbed 'Simple Mode' that as the name suggests makes the control layout a whole lot easier to learn with just one attack button that evolves the strength of the damage you make as you press the button more rapidly, and three other buttons for special attacks, asists and hyper-attacks. If you haven't played a fighter like MVC3 before, believe me when I say that will be a huge comfort for newcomers (or regulars who like to keep things simple)! Add to that there's a ton of new characters like Vieutiful Joe, Phoenix, She-Hulk and Albert Wesker to rain down hell with and Marvel VS Capcom 3 may just be the best fighter of 2011 (and with Street Fighter VS Tekken to come this Winter, that'd be quite a compliment)!

Marvel VS Capcom 3- Be Excited Because...
