Japanese 3DS Launch Line-Up Revealed

IGN has exclusively revealed the 8 games which look to form the Nintendo 3DS' launch line-up in February. They are: Super Street Fighter IV 3-D; Nintendogs/cats; Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle; Pro Evolution Soccer 3-D; Ridge Racer 3-D; Samurai Warrior Chronicles and Bust-A-Move 3-D. As you can probably see if you know just a few of these franchises, it's not exactly a packed line-up. Bar Layton and Street Fighter, none of these games scream 'killer app' for the 3DS, with major titles such as Mario Kart 3-D, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3-D, Paper Mario 3-D, Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Resident Evil, Professor Layton VS Phoenix Wright, Star Fox 3-D, Kingdom Hearts 3-D, Animal Crossing and Assassin's Creed: Lost Legacy held back until later in 2011. We'll see whether the US and UK launches being in March makes any difference on their respective line-ups, but so far it seems you might want to hold of on the 3DS until a few more major sequels are released.
