Best Selling Game Chart Of 2010 Revealed
As 2011 opens, and twelve months of exciting video games lure us into the future, we've had a glance back at just which titles topped the charts last year. Top of the multi-format charts was, predictably, Call of Duty: Black Ops (7/10)- hardly surprising as predecessor Modern Warfare 2 gained this accolade in 2009 with its phenomenal fan-base, while FIFA 2011, Red Dead Redemption (9.5/10), Just Dance 2, Halo: Reach and Battlefield Bad Company 2 (9/10) all featured too in the Top 10 selling games of 2010 across all consoles. Meanwhile, specific toppers for each piece of gaming hardware were announced too: the Nintendo Wii's best was Just Dance (5/10) followed by Wii Fit Plus (8.5/10) and Just Dance 2 (a really eventful year then, you'd think Super Mario Galaxy 2 wasn't released), the PS3 and 360 had Black Ops, FIFA 11 and Gran Turismo 5 (7/10) and Halo: Reach (10/10) respectively in 3rd place. The Nintendo DS' top seller for 2010 was Professor Layton and the Lost Future (10/10), whereas for PSP it was FIFA 11 and for PC Football Manager 2011 came up trumps. Who knows which games will come top this year? Hate to be cynical, but I'd be willing to bet the words 'Call of Duty' will feature in this same list come January 2012...
