A wise man probably once said 'Never let an average sequel keep you down', and that appears to be the mantra for the popular kids franchise
Ice Age, its third sequel having just entered production. Dubbed
Continental Drift, the fourth flick in the series sees mischeivous squirrel Scrat accidentally disrupt the fabric of the Earth in his quest for his precious acorn, and in doing so force series regulars Manny, Sid and Diego to adapt as their frozen continent is sent across the world and sea monsters begin to invade. It's hardly the most inventive premise, but neither was the original
Ice Age's so there is still hope. The first trailer, showcasing Scrat's intervention in the structure of the planet, has hit cinemas in the US (and, predictably, YouTube). Continental Drift in July 2012, and in 3-D no less!
