Anthony Horowitz Does Sherlock Holmes
It has been a while since the last 'proper' Sherlock Holmes novel, so maybe it's about time that an acclaimed writer took the helm in a full-length piece of fiction that resurrects the detective who lives on Baker Street? Enter Anthony Horowitz, creator of the hit children's book series Alex Rider, Groosham Grange and The Power of Five, now tasked with putting pen to paper and bringing Holmes back into our lives. Horowitz's interpretation of Sherlock will appear on bookshelves this September as a mystery tale aimed at fans of the original and written similarly to Arthur Conan Doyle's originals. That's just about all we know right now, but still the idea of Horowitz revamping a much-loved British character such as Holmes is a very welcome one. Chances are this'll be a good year for Horowitz, with Alex Rider finale Scorpia Rising set to hit stores too at the end of March, and the next Power of Five set for release this Winter!
