First Arrow Season Three Promotional Image Released

Green Arrow, the Flash, Firestorm and the Atom have even more company in the budding superhero department - meet Arsenal!
The CW have this week released the first promotional image for the impending third season of their critically lauded superhero drama Arrow. Based loosely on DC's classic graphic novels, the series chronicles the rise of the Green Arrow from a scorned vigilante to the solitary defender of Starling City.

Well, we say solitary, but that's not entirely true. Colton Haynes plays Thea Queen's ex-boyfriend Roy Harper on the show, and as fans will certainly have ascertained from the new promotional pic (left), the character will be taking on his beloved superhero mantle of Arsenal in Season Three. Although some may be disappointed by the lack of originality present in the character's costume design with relation to the Arrow's attire, the latter's clothing has developed considerably over the course of two seasons, and it stands to reason that Arsenal will gradually stand apart from his inspiration (aesthetically and quite possibly morally) as the latest run progresses!

Arrow returns to The CW with its game-changing third season this October 8th, and will be back on Sky1 here in the UK during the Autumn.
