BBC Books have today announced the publication of Sherlock: Chronicles for release later this year. A hardback behind-the-scenes reference book comprising 320 pages, Chronicles will detail the production of each of the 90-minute episodes of the BBC's critically acclaimed detective drama which have aired on BBC One so far, including "A Study in Pink", "The Reichenbach Fall" and "The Sign of Three" as well as the 2013 festive mini-episode "Many Happy Returns".
By now, it should be pretty darn obvious that we here at On-Screen welcome any sign of new Sherlock releases, whatever form they may take, and suffice to say that we're once again on the edge of our seats at this very moment in anticipation of what's to come in this particular tome. Here's the official synopsis for Chronicles: "A visually stunning and comprehensive guide to the hit BBC series, Sherlock: Chronicles tells the full story of the show as you've never seen it before.
"Packed with exclusive unseen material, including all-new interviews with the cast and crew, this is Sherlock from the ground up: from story and script development to casting, sets, costumes, props, music and more. Each episode of the spectacular three series is remembered by those who made it, from the show's dazzling début in "A Study in Pink" to this year's breathtaking finale, "His Last Vow". Featuring over 500 images of concept artwork, photographs, costume and set designs, and more, Chroncles is the ultimate celebration for Sherlock fans everywhere."
Sherlock: Chronicles will be released in all good UK book retailers this October 23rd.
