"You will die in Silence, Doctor!" One week to go until the Time for change arrives.BBC America have today launched an extended trailer for Doctor Who's 2013 Christmas Special. Titled The Time of the Doctor, the feature-length festive epic takes place in the aftermath of last month's The Day of the Doctor, focusing on the Doctor's final voyage to the backwater planet of Trenzalore.
A press screening of Matt Smith's final episode is currently taking place at the British Film Institute in London's Southbank, but before the first spoiler-free reactions emerge from the aforementioned event, the international BBC channel's trail (below) gives fans plenty to go on. Resolutions to series-wide story arcs including the TARDIS' explosion in The Pandorica Opens, the assembling of the Clerics against the Doctor in A Good Man Goes To War and the mysterious contents of Room 11 in The God Complex are all promised in the video, and Steven Moffat has hinted that this is Smith's finest performance in the role yet.
Doctor Who returns with its heartbreaking Christmas Special, The Time of the Doctor, this Christmas Day at 7.30pm on BBC One.
