Fresh off the release of The Desolation of Smaug, TT Games unveil a preview of their LEGO adaptation.
Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment and TT Games have today released the first teaser trailer for their upcoming platforming title LEGO The Hobbit. Set to launch on two generations of console hardware, the latest edition in the franchise follows LEGO The Lord of the Rings and LEGO Marvel Superheroes onto shelves. As evidenced in the video (below), LEGO The Hobbit incorporates the events of both An Unexpected Journey and The Desolation of Smaug. The game will not adapt the narrative of next December's There and Back Again as a result of its launch occuring early next year, but given that the first two films cover the majority of the original's novel content, hopefully TT Games will construct their own ending to the storyline in line with Tolkien's version rather than milking the cash-cow further by sending a 'Complete Saga'-esque sequel to the gaming community just one year later...
LEGO The Hobbit retails on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo WiiU, Nintendo 3DS and PC in Spring 2014.
