The saga begins again- a new PC exclusive Star Wars video game is coming in 2014...
Disney Interactive Studios have today announced the development of Star Wars: Attack Squadrons for release in the near future. Taking place within the chronology of the original trilogy of films, this first video game instalment since the announcement of Disney's acquisition of Lucasfilm is a Free-To-Play online multiplayer strategy title.
You'll find the first teaser trail for Attack Squadrons below, but beyond that, for now we know very little about the project itself. Developer Area 52 Games are newcomers to the industry, their track record untested at this early stage. Today's reveal follows EA's confirmation that DICE are hard at work on a third full outing in the Star Wars: Battlefront series, along with reports that studios such as Visceral Games have tie-in entries in the works. Star Wars: Episode VII itself will jump through hyperspace into cinemas worldwide in December 2015.
Star Wars: Attack Squadrons launches exclusively on PC in 2014, beginning with a closed beta in Spring 2014.
