Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment and TT Games have today released the first gameplay trailer for their upcoming platforming title The LEGO Movie Videogame. A tie-in and adaptation of the upcoming motion picture of the same name, the latest project from the team behind LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Marvel Superheroes features characters including Emmett, President Business and the Dark Knight himself, Batman.
Unless it's all a ruse, the first trail (below) appears to confirm that the game's art style is impressively reminiscent of its inspiration. The LEGO Movie Videogame will no doubt follow the same narrative as its source, albeit with a few diversions over the course of its campaign so as to pad out the 15 main story levels which comprise its core experience. An open-world along the lines of Gotham City or New York is probably not on the cards this time, but TT Games' Spring release LEGO The Hobbit should more than sate this appetite for fans if necessary.
The LEGO Movie Videogame assembles on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo WiiU, Nintendo 3DS and PC this February 7th, 2014.
