You've seen their Summer vacation, now discover what the Inbetweeners gang get up to in their Gap Year...
Film4 Productions have today released the first promotional image for their upcoming comedy film The Inbetweeners Movie 2. A continuation of Channel 4's hit UK sitcom and a follow-up to 2011's unprecedented feel-good flick The Inbetweeners Movie, the film will again star series leads Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison and Joe Thomas.
The sequel has commenced shooting in Australia as of today, and it is expected that its basic premise revolves around Simon, Jay, Neil and Will's Gap Year trip down South. Its predecessor was a commercial success, and a piece of cinema which became more engaging with each consecutive repeat viewing, but certainly flaws persisted in its structure that will need to be addressed in writers Damon Beesley and Iain Morris' second contribution. Regardless, The Inbetweeners is now a prized national treasure on a domestic level, and this much-anticipated new instalment should do nothing to change that.
The Inbetweeners Movie 2 staggers drunkenly into cinemas worldwide in August 2014.
