Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase Two saga continues with a present-day thriller next Summer!Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel Studios have today released the first promotional poster (below) for their upcoming superhero thriller film Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The sequel to 2011's hit World War Two flick Captain America: The First Avenger, this second instalment features Captain America (Chris Evans) teaming up with Black Widow (Scarlett Johnasson) to battle an old friend-turned-foe who returns from the dead and threatens to destabilize a nation.
For Marvel, the Avengers train will of course just keep on rolling when The Winter Soldier does land in cinemas. Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase Two series of films premiered with Iron Man 3 this April, while Thor: The Dark World will launch in the UK next week and after the Captain America sequel, fans can expect Guardians of the Galaxy and ultimately Avengers: Age of Ultron to bring this phase of blockbusters to its climax. The fun doesn't even stop there, as we'd do well to recall that The Amazing Spider-Man 2, X-Men: Days of Future Past and The Fantastic Four are all set to launch within the next two years too- in short, it's a great time to be a fan of the superhero film genre...
Captain America: The Winter Soldier ricochets into UK cinemas on March 28th, 2014. A new trailer for the film will première this Thursday, October 24th.
