"Anyone else?" It seems that no other video game retailing in 2013 can tackle so many comic-book properties as LEGO Marvel Superheroes!Travellers' Tales have today announced the development of a release-day downloadable content pack for their upcoming open-world platformer LEGO Marvel Superheroes. Based on acclaimed comic-book franchises including The Amazing Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Uncanny X-Men and Avengers Assemble, this new outing in the development team's franchise of LEGO adaptations features over 100 characters and a storyline which sees the Marvel Universe's vast array of heroes and villains battle it out across the galaxy.
The aforementioned DLC expansion will be framed around the Marvel Cinematic Universe's latest film release Thor: The Dark World. Within the pack, fans will find eight new character variants based on their likenesses in the superhero sequel, though whether this will entail entirely exclusive characters or simply new skins for characters already found in the core product hasn't been confirmed as of yet. Whatever the case, having The Dark World content will only serve to enhance the replay value of TT Games' latest effort, which can only be a positive omen.
LEGO Marvel Superheroes assembles on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo WiiU, Nintendo 3DS and PC on November 15th.
