One month (and twenty two days) to go! An acclaimed fantasy teen fiction author scoops up the role of reviving the Tenth...
BBC Worldwide have today announced a new author for the latest instalment in their Doctor Who 50th Anniversary monthly eBook series. So far, fans have had the chance to read short stories about the Doctor from Eoin Colfer, Michael Scott, Marcus Sedgewick, Philip Reeve, Patrick Ness, Richelle Mead, Malorie Blackman and Alex Scarrow, and this month's scribe derives from yet another major teen fiction saga.
The man in question? Derek Landy, none other than the author of the Skulduggery Pleasant franchise of novels. Landy has penned The Mystery of the Haunted Cottage, a tale featuring David Tennant's Tenth Doctor and Freema Agyeman's Martha Jones. Here's the synopsis: "When the TARDIS lands on a planet that looks identical to Earth, the Tenth Doctor and Martha are amazed to find it packed with fictional characters from her childhood. But who has the power to create an entire world out of books and why? The Doctor and Martha must solve the mystery before their story ends!"
Doctor Who: The Mystery of the Haunted Cottage haunts digital retailers everywhere on October 23rd.
