Forza Motorsport 4 First Details
Forza Motorsport 4 is racing towards Kinect for release this Autumn, and today on MSN developer Turn 10 Studios has released the first details as to what we can expect in the latest outing. Firstly, there's the news that the dev has teamed up with car manufacturer Pirelli to provide "the most up-to-date simulation of how modern tyres grip or slip in a variety of racing conditions". Sounds pretty similar to what we got in Forza Motorsport 2 and FM3, but we're willing to let that slide as long as it adds to the game-play experience and doesn't detract from it like the irritatingly realistic version of motorcycle grip in Project Gotham Racing 4. We've also been promised "limited Kinect functionality" (good to see that the motion camera doesn't fully make up the game's features as the controller based modes have always been fun), including the ability to "walk around vehicles and explore inside them", plus to use a "virtual steering wheel" to control an automatically accelerating/braking car on the racetrack. Nothing more new was revealed other than those details, but we do also know that there will be a strong association with the BBC show Top Gear, with some tracks associated with the programme featuring in the line-up. Forza Motorsport 4 releases this Autumn exclusively for Xbox 360, so keep checking On-Screen for our updates and full review!
