First Doctor Who Experience Image Revealed
Announced last year as a major London attraction to keep fans' appetites sated in the wait until the sixth season airs this April, the Doctor Who Experience is just about ready to open in a week's time, and here is the first image of what we can expect at Olympia 2 from the 20th February to late November. As anyone who hasn't been living under a rock for the past year will recognise, this is an impressive replica of the Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith's TARDIS interior, and fans will get the chance to enter it and take control of the only police box that's bigger on the inside in the Experience segment of the attraction. The plot is being kept tightly under wraps for as long as possible by the makers of the Doctor Who Experience, but what we know so far is that the Doctor has been trapped in the Pandorica by some old enemies, yet has planned his escape, and asks visitors to take control of the TARDIS and rescue him, visiting Starship UK, the Library and the forest of the Weeping Angels and battling Dalek spaceships and the Angels themselves along the way. After the half-hour walkthrough show, you'll be invited into a massive exhibition encompassing elements from across the show's 1963-2011 history (so all the Dalek variants are there, and the TARDIS sets of David Tennant and Peter Davison are there to walk about too, as well as the exterior police box from the Tom Baker era). All this sounds like every fan's dream (not to mention my own), and you can catch my world exclusive review of the Experience a week on Friday. Until then, take a look at some more images of the Experience right here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/tv-and-radio/gallery/2011/feb/15/doctor-who-experience-exhibition#/?picture=371735574&index=3!
