Another Transformers Film Confirmed
Transformers: Dark of the Moon is set to explode into cinemas on July 1st, but even before that it seems Hasbro have assured the press that this will be by no means the last movie in the franchise- with or without director Michael Bay, the blockbuster series will continue. Speaking today to MTV, Hasbro CEO Brian Goldener said: "I've so enjoyed working with Michael Bay. Perhaps he'll change his mind, perhaps he won't [Bay recently said that the third flick would be his last], but I'd rather put out this movie first then cross that bridge at some point." That seems like a strong indication by the producer that the director needs to make a decision as to whether he wants to move on to other projects or Hasbro will simply move on without him. To be honest, after the atrocious Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2/5) I really couldn't care less what becomes of the franchise once the latest film is out this Summer, but given that viewers seem to still enjoy the flicks enough to throw millions of dollars at the cast and crew time and time again, maybe that's just the news fans want to hear. Either way, I'll sit this ongoing story out with completely relaxed breaths until a reboot is one day inevitably announced for this fast-dying franchise.
