Transformers: Dark Of The Moon Game Details

Although neither of the previous Transformer movie games were anything to write home about, the recent spin-off prequel War on Cybertron gained moderate critical acclaim, and its developer High Moon Studios is on board to develop the final film tie-in Dark fo the Moon, a prequel to the events of the Michael Bay finale out this Summer. We now know that the game will ship on the PS3 and Xbox 360, with Behaviour Interactive developing a different version to favour the somewhat lower specifications of the Nintendo Wii, DS and 3DS. Dark of the Moon will include "a diverse roster of everyone's favourite Transformers" (Optimus Prime, Bumblebee et all then) and incorporate new "Stealth Force gameplay", allowing players to "convert to a third form beyond robot and vehicle modes to defeat their enemies in more ways than ever before" while fighting in "the epic battles on Earth that will shape the events of the upcoming film" including in locations like South America, Siberia and Detroit. We'll certainly keep a watch on this one with the suspicious yet hopeful frame of mind gamers have had to wield after such dire efforts as Spider-Man 3 and Monsters VS Aliens and may have to endure with the likes of Thor, Kung Fu Panda 2 (though the first tie-in was great so keep an open mind!), Captain America, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two and the Green Lantern tie-ins coming this Summer. Also, is being able to kill in more ways than ever before really that much of an innovation? Examples such as Bulletstorm would suggest no, but once again we're holding out hope that High Moon can redeem the Transformers game franchise at its tentative close.
