A new Batman: Arkham video
game could be on the way to stores in 2014, if recent domain name registrations
are to be believed. Warner Brothers have this week bought website domain names
including Arkham Universe, Arkham Alive and
Arkham Legends, suggesting to fans of
Rocksteady’s hit licensed franchise that a follow-up to 2011’s hit Batman: Arkham City may be in the
offings.
Of course, that’s not necessarily the case. Other rumour
sites have been speculating that this could in fact be the next film based on
the Batman comics, adapting the classic Arkham
Asylum from game form into a fully formed big-screen narrative. No matter
which of the reports, if either, turn out to be true, we could have an exciting
future ahead for the Dark Knight!
Justice
League, featuring a new star as Batman, will premiere in cinemas in 2015.
