Coming Up This Week: January 21st-27th

A blitz of TV season returns, more Oscar nominees arrive in the UK and lots more!
Moreso than any week of 2013 so far, this next set of seven days is absolutely jam-packed with big entertainment releasers you won't want to miss. From Game Of Thrones to Lincoln, from Halo 4: Spartan Ops to the National Television Awards, there's something for everyone here, so you'd best keep your eyes glued to your screens in the days ahead. Here's our full guide...
HALO 4: SPARTAN OPS EPISODE SIX- 343 Industries are continuing their Halo 4 saga with new adventures for the Spartan IVs starting this week. Fireteam Crimson are trapped by overwhelming rebel Covenant forces, one man captured, and the odds seem against them- it's your job to free the team and save your teammate before it's too late...(Monday 21st)
ARROW: BURNED- The CW's hottest superhero drama is back fresh off its six week mid-season break. Burned sees the Green Arrow forced back into action after a deadly battle with the Dark Archer, and dark secrets will be revealed in the Queen family's midst as the saga of the DC hero begins again! (Monday 21st)
GAME OF THRONES: THE NORTH REMEMBERS- Fans of the hit Game Of Thrones television series may have already seen Season Two, but those of us who watched Sky1's rebroadcast of Season One for the first time last Autumn can no doubt not wait for this Sky Atlantic re-run! Better yet, from now on the show will run straight through to its Season Three premiere in April, so that's TWENTY WEEKS of epic Thrones action to thrill us for months on end. (Monday 21st)
DOCTOR WHO: A BIG HAND FOR THE DOCTOR- Artemis Fowl's Eoin Colfer has penned this first Doctor Who 50th Anniversary eBook Short Story featuring the First Doctor. Here, the Time Lord hunts for his missing granddaughter Susan and faces a ferocious conflict with the dangerous Soul Pirates, in what promises to be a whimsical sci-fi digital outing. (Wednesday 23rd)
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST: PROCEED WITH CAUTION- The CW have stumbled onto a surprise hit with Beauty And The Beast, and the show continues its UK run on Watch this week. This time around, Cat witnesses the murder of a ballerina, and attempts to discover the truth while finding out more about her beastly pursuer and the events of her own mother's death. (Wednesday 23rd)
NATIONAL TELEVISION AWARDS 2013- For us big cult entertainment fans, it's Doctor Who VS. Sherlock that'll be of the biggest interest at the NTAs this year with both shows up for Best Drama and Best Drama Actor, but there'll be plenty of other interesting awards to see too. Britain's Got Talent, Downton Abbey, Call The Midwife and more all feature in a much-anticipated awards ceremony that you won't want to miss! (Wednesday 23rd)
SUITS RETURNS- Dave's Suits is a much-loved US port for British fans of a great show, so it's great to see the hit drama back for a second season. Expect court-suits, trials, shocks and twists aplenty in what promises to be yet another eventful set of episodes...(Thursday 24th)
LINCOLN- There's no getting around the fact that Daniel Day-Lewis' performance in the Oscar-nominated Lincoln has been met with critical acclaim across the board. Will it impress the less-patriotic UK audiences including myself? We'll find out very soon, and it'll be intriguing for us to get a stance on what looks to be a clear awards shoe-in for the upcoming ceremonies! (Friday 25th)
ZERO DARK THIRTY- Another Oscar nominee that's sure to perform well, Zero Dark Thirty is again a latecomer after two months of release over in the States. That's a poor date trade-off to be sure, but on the plus side, this tale of the ten-year hunt for Bin Laden is meant to be a rather captivating watch, and I for one can't wait to see how it turns out as a 2013 blockbuster. (Friday 25th)
GLEE: THE BREAK UP- There's trouble on the horizon for the New Directions and the New York gang this week, as we're promised a host of romance 'break-ups' from the latest instalment of Glee on Sky1. This new episode deals with the relationships of Rachel & Finn, Rachel & Brody, Santanna & Britney and Kurt & Blaine, which could well make it either a fan favourite or a least-favourite soon enough. (Sunday 27th)
AND THERE'S MORE- Merlin: The Complete Fifth Series rounds off every fan of the BBC1's fantasy drama's collection set on DVD and Blu-Ray tomorrow, plus The Sweeney arrives with retailers and DMC: Devil May Cry lands on PC hot on the heels of its 360 and PS3 predecessors.
ON THE BLOG- Our reviews of Game Of Thrones' Season Two premiere, Django Unchained and Doctor Who: A Big Hand For The Doctor will be here, plus we'll start looking ahead to what February holds- yep, we're already pretty much an entire month into 2013!...
AND NEXT WEEK...Another big new game release arrives in the form of Hitman HD Trilogy, Glee, Arrow, Beauty & The Beast and Game Of Thrones continue, Derek, Anger Management and Being Human return, plus Doctor Who: The Silurian Gift hits book stores as a new Quick Reads release!
