Video games developer and publisher THQ Interactive have this week confirmed that they have shut-down their company, handing over its various properties and hit franchises to other third-party sources. The move comes in the midst of intense financial difficulties for the company, leaving them unable to operate in 2013 and thus forcing them to hand over their video game franchises rather than lose them entirely. Here's the full line-up of where video game franchises will be transferred to and whether we can expect any delays of titles as a result...
- SEGA- Relic (2014)
- Koch Media- Volition (2014); Metro: Last Light (2013)
- Crytek- Homefront 2 (2013)
- Take 2- Saint's Row 4 (2013); WWE 2014 (2013); Evolve (2014)
- Ubisoft- South Park: The Stick Of Truth (2013); Montreal (2014)
Our best wishes go to all of those staff at THQ left unemployed by this tragic turn of events. Keep it On-Screen for all the latest of the disowned video game franchises mentioned here and indeed THQ's future in any meaningful form.
