Iron Man 3 Phase Two Connections Revealed?

Could the new instalment's placement within the Avengers 2 story arc now be known to us?
As of today, it seems that we may know just how Iron Man 3 connects into the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe in terms of hints as to what's to come in The Avengers 2. According to reliable rumour source The Latino Review, in the closing scenes of the movie, once whatever battles Tony Stark faces are done, he'll hook up with the Guardians Of The Galaxy for a mission that'll conclude with a cameo in that alien team's own film next year. It's an intriguing crossover project, and one that suggests that the Guardians' arch-foe Thanos will have a bigger role to play this time around than his cameo in Avengers Assemble (5/5).
