The Cornetto Trilogy's finale is coming, and we've got the first pictures!Universal Studios have today unveiled the first official promotional images from their new comedy film The World's End. Set in modern-day England, the movie marks the final instalment of the 'Cornetto Trilogy' formed by Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and director Edgar Wright through 2004's Shaun Of The Dead and 2007's Hot Fuzz.
This new flick focuses on an apocalyptic situation whereby Pegg and Frost's characters must race with a British comedy ensemble across the country to reach the fabled 'The World's End' pub in order to save the Earth and get a great drink while they're at it. This is suitably overdramatic and lovable 'Cornetto' fanfare, and no doubt should prove a massive hit with UK viewers in particular, and hopefully in the States when it arrives a few months after This Is The End in October. The World's End explodes into British cinemas everywhere on August 14th.
