A series newcomer arrives for the return of Holmes to BBC1...The BBC have today confirmed the name of the first of three directors for the new season of Sherlock. Set to shoot this Spring for broadcast later this year, the third season will feature three new blockbuster episodes that encapsulate Sherlock's return from the dead and the themes 'Rat. Wedding. Bow.' It has been announced that Jeremy Loving, the man behind hit British projects such as Spooks and Hot Fuzz, will helm one of the new ninety-minute instalments. However, expect Loving to helm the second episode rather than the premiere or the finale, which will likely contain big continuity-shaping events that directors who've helmed the show before will probably be best picked to deal with! Sherlock returns to BBC1 this Autumn.
