The announcement earlier this week that TT Games are currently developing LEGO Marvel Superheroes for release later this year was met with universal fanboy praise, so the emergence of brand new details on the video game project so soon after should come as a welcome surprise. Game Informer has the full cover scoop on the much-anticipated title, and we've got all the details from the magazine right here...
- The game kicks off with you touring the skyline of New York as none other than Spider-Man himself, discovering key locations, climbing rooftops and webbing up enemies as you go.
- One of the main writers on Marvel Super Hero Squad has penned a storyline which features events inspired by Avengers Assemble, as Loki attempts to return to Asgard with the help of a still-to-be-revealed Marvel foe.
- Other confirmed characters so far include Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Wolverine, Thor, Hawkeye and Deadpool, with characters such as Magneto, the Juggernaut and the Thing all rumoured to star in the game too.
- Famed Marvel locations from across the comic lore will feature in the game: a free-roaming open world New York hub, Stark Tower, Times Square, the Statue Of Liberty, Grand Central Station, Oscorp Tower and the evil prison The Raft among other intergalactic locales.
Expect the first full video gameplay reveal for this one in February. LEGO Marvel Superheroes hits stores everywhere this Autumn.
