Michael Bay promises at least three more explosive robot instalments of cinema...
Paramount Pictures have stayed rather coy on the next instalment in the Transformers franchise these past few weeks, yet today Michael Bay has taken a big step forward, confirming that the latest movie will be just the beginning of a trilogy. "Transformers 4 is not a reboot," Bay reveals, "This movie takes place exactly four years after the war in Chicago. The story makes a very natural transition, and reason as to why we have a whole new cast. This Transformers will feel very different than the last three. We are embarking on a new trilogy." So just what story events can we expect next Summer? Bay won't say, but he has announced too that that newcomer Irish star Jack Reynor will join the human cast alongside the lead Mark Wahlberg. Expect more details on this exciting first instalment in a new series of CGI-fuelled movies in the months ahead. Transformers 4 assimilates into cinemas everywhere on June 27th, 2014.
