Superman is coming this Summer- could JLA hang in the balance?
There's been a number of interesting rumours surrounding the much-hyped Justice League movie project these past few weeks, yet today has brought with it the most intriguing evidence yet. It seems we know just how the likelihood of the creation of this film will fare, and it could be ominous if things don't turn out well for DC's latest standalone superhero movie.
Variety are reporting that a Warner Bros conference call from key studio heads featured the following sentiments on Justice League: if, and only if, Man Of Steel performs above expectations, then DC Studios will move on with the 2015 project. If not, though? Well, now that's the big question of the day. The rumours are that if the Zack Snyder-directed and Christopher Nolan-produced movie doesn't attain the same kind of success as at least Batman Begins did back in 2005, then DC Studios will shelve or quite possibly even cancelled the anticipated superhero team-up that was meant to go up against The Avengers 2 in 2015.
Personally, I reckon it'll be a shame if the ensemble film doesn't ever make it to screens, as there was a lot of potential for it to reboot the movie franchises of several heroes and kick off a big new DC Cinematic Universe. All the same, competition in 2015 will be heavy with films such as The Avengers 2, Pirates Of The Carribbean 5, The Fantastic Four and Star Wars: Episode VII all set for release that year...Man Of Steel is set for release in cinemas worldwide on June 14th.
