20th Century Fox have today released a new television trailer (below) for their impending fantasy film Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Set a decade after the events of the studio's hit 2011 reboot Rise of the Planet of the Apes, the hugely anticipated follow-up centres around an oncoming war between the last remnants of humanity and the army of intelligent primates who now all but control the United States of America in their entirety.
Just before you check out the trailer (along with the ace new promotional poster which IGN débuted yesterday, left), though, we have a brief admission to get out into the open. Believe it or not, we here at On-Screen were under the impression that Dawn could not possibly raise our anticipation levels with its already remarkable promotional campaign any further. We were wrong. So wrong, in fact, that it warrants a slight apology at this present moment. Now that's out of the way, it's high time that you discover why next month can't come soon enough by clicking 'Play' (the video is called "Bear Hunt", for reasons which will soon become apparent).
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes takes audiences hostage in cinemas worldwide this July 17th.
