Glee: Comeback Review (5/5)

Two firsts in one fortnight: Glee has managed to succeed in making its Valentine's Day and Justin Bieber episodes not just bearable but pretty damn excellent in Silly Love Songs and now Comeback. I can't guarantee teenage boys will come out of the story with more appreciation of this week's artist and his strange musical choices, however considering that I am the opposite of a fan of Bieber that I enjoyed covers of his Baby and Somebody To Love (sadly no relation to one of this reviewer's favourite Queen songs) is saying something. Better still, Sue Sylvester joined the Glee club this week, initially planting seeds of doubt among each member yet later joining in with a fine rendition of pop anthem Sing. Even Lauren Zizes got her chance to shine alongside Puck with the hilarious/deeply disturbing I Know What Boys Like for better or for worse. There was very little to criticise this week, and the only people I know who found fault were the ones who wrote the episode off as a dulcit Justin Bieber tribute, when in reality it was anything but. Cast aside your prior suspicions and this actually proves to be one of the best episodes of Glee so far (don't worry, though, I still fully understand the aforementioned uncertainty!).
