March 2011: Best Release

March hasn't exactly been awash with entertainment releases, so my choice of Scorpia Rising as the month's best release came as a matter of default more than anything: Crysis 2, Dragon Age II, Homefront and LEGO Star Wars III all looked great but with the important releases coming from this month onwards I held my money back (though I will review both 2011 LEGO games later this year!), Unknown was a good film yet in reality was only just above average, so it came down to Alex Rider to steal the show somewhat this month, and to Anthony Horowitz's credit he did it in style. The earth-shattering twists pulled by the author in what is rightly called 'The Final Mission' on the American cover shown here really will get readers thinking, and when a major character who we have seen in every adventure dies you will be left in no doubt as to the reason for this being the last book in the series. As I said in my review, fans owe it to themselves to return to the franchise one more time even if they missed the mediocre Snakehead and Crocodile Tears because this is honestly the best way Mr. Horowitz could finish Alex's story. That said, can we kick the release schedule up this month, guys?
