Britain's Got Talent Airdate Confirmed
When can you expect to see hit reality show Britain's Got Talent back on your televisions? The day the first episode airs has been announced by iTV today as Saturday April 16th. As per usual, there will be six weeks of hour-long episodes showcasing the best (and worst) of the 2010/11 auditions, quarter- and semi-finals taking place over the course of a week and ultimately the finale will air sometime early on in June. Ant and Dec are presenting once again, while Stephen Mulhern reprises his role as presenter of companion show Britain's Got More Talent, which will air on iTV2 after each main episode for the week has concluded. This time, fans can expect the judging panel to be a fair bit different: in the audition stages, replacing Piers Morgan after his departure to start a chat show in the United States were comedian Michael McIntyre and surfer/actor David Hasslehoff, while Amanda Holden returned to BGT for the entire programme, despite the pressures of rehearsing upcoming West End show Shrek: The Musical and the tragic miscarraige of her child more recently. Simon Cowell will join these three for the final seven episodes, having been working on the next series of The X Factor in both the UK and USA. And, as I mentioned in a previous post, Doctor Who is back one week after BGT (23rd April), so from then on let battle commence...
