New Deathly Hallows: Part Two Details
It might not make the wait until July 15th any easier, but today we've found out some juicy new information about Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part Two! Clips of the finale to the blockbuster film franchise were shown yesterday at the CinemaCon convention in America, showcasing (SPOILERS, highlight to reveal) the final battle at Hogwarts, Harry's supposed death, him entering limbo and an all-out war breaking out in the Forbidden Forest of students, teachers and Death Eaters as the news of Harry's demise erupted in the school. The footage ended with the tagline 'It Ends Where It Started' as Harry yelled to Voldemort "Let's end this together" to which the Dark Lord replied "Only one can live forever", the screen then fading to black and the audience left with Potter's words "I never wanted any of you to die for me.". Okay, minor spoilers over (and let's be honest, if you read the book when it first came out none of that will come as a surprise). Producers David Heyman and David Barron went on to reveal that the finale will be slightly shorter than the other films- likely due to not having to cover a whole book or explain what Hallows and Horcruxes are- but that's not too worrying as Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix is the shortest flick in the series so far and still has a running time of 138 minutes, so we'll still be getting a good two hours of Potter goodness and if there was one criticism I could level at Part One it would be that some of it was longer than it needed be so the cutdown may be a good thing. There should be a trailer coming for Part Two coming very soon, but in the meantime Part One comes to DVD on April 11th.
