Benedict Cumberbatch For Star Trek 2

As I just said of Jeremy Renner in the previous article, Benedict Cumberbatch seems to have been everywhere on screen recently, what with him gaining roles in War Horse, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy AND The Hobbit in recent months on top of his acclaimed portrayal of Sherlock in the hit BBC1 drama currently airing on Sundays. Now, though, Cumberbatch can add another filmic great to his list, cast as the villain on Star Trek 2, no less! Yep, while we're not sure just who that could be yet (Will we feel the wrath of KHAAAAAANNNNNN!!!!!!????), we know that the sequel's antagonist will be played by Cumberbatch, and I for one can't wait to see what he brings to the role of the villain as he will as the dragon Smaug and the Necromancer in the second part of The Hobbit next year.
