Universal Hits Its 100th Anniversary
Here's something you might not have guessed until reading this piece's title- Universal Studios have turned a century old this year! Believe it or not, it really was way back in 1912 that this colossal icon of the movie industry started work, and since then it's brought us an insane number of excellent movies, including Back to the Future, The Land Before Time, Jurassic Park, American Pie, Meet The Parents, The Fast And The Furious, The Bourne Identity, Hulk, The Bourne Identity, E.T., The Mummy, Despicable Me, Happy Gilmore, Bridget Jones' Diary, Bruce Almighty, Shaun of the Dead, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Kick-Ass, Paul and Johnny English Reborn, and of course infinitely more than that list! We'll be seeing Blu-Ray upgrades of the distributor's classic hits like To Kill A Mockingbird, Schindler's List and Dracula very soon, so the collectionists amongst you should keep an eye out for those vintae re-releases. Congratulations to Universal on this wonderful milestone, and may their brilliant filmmaking continue on for centuries to come...
