More WiiU Details Coming Before E3

Things have been pretty quiet on Nintendo's part regarding their new console, the WiiU, since its confused reveal at last year's E3 conference, but it appears we're going to get a lot more information on it in the first half of this year, even before the Electronic Entertainment Expo commences in June! The news comes from none other than Nintendo America's boss Reggie Fils-Aime on CNN- "WiiU will launch sometime between E3- which is in June- and the end of the year so essentially the second half of the year," he says, "We haven't announced pricing and specific details. We'll share more information between now and E3." This isn't the first instance where the US boss hinted at more details on the console before E3- at the Consumer Electronics Show, he said that he couldn't deny there would be lots of updates on pricing and release details for the WiiU before Nintendo's keynote presentation in June. That we're going to be finding out much more about the first in a new generation of consoles is very exciting in my books, but will the WiiU sell as well as its predecessor even with the headstart it's got on the 720 and PS4? The battle for supremacy begins when it ships here sometime this Winter...
