First Details On Star Wars TV Show Emerge

File:Star Wars Logo.svgGeorge Lucas and his Lucasfilm team have kept quiet on the potential live-action Star Wars TV series they teased earlier in the last decade, for quite some time now, yet it seems 2012 may herald the first few breakthroughs for the show if producer Rick McCallum's comments are anything to go by. McCallum told IGN that the series is currently going under the working title of Star Wars: Underworld, called the 50-odd scripts already written "timeless, because they take place between Episodes III and IV, when the Empire is taking power, and involving this whole underworld, the criminals, the guys and the gangs." "It's really a budget thing, how do we cut [filming prices] down, we're trying to do the same amount of effects as each of the prequel trilogy films in just one hour every week!" The producer said he hopes he lives to see the project made on telly in the next few years, which obviously means Underworld, if we're going to actually see it made, is still a good few years away for now. Expect a fair wait, but expect a helluva ride when Star Wars: Underworld finally reaches television screens...
