Xbox Next, PS4 For E3?
I mentioned after the extensive news coverage I gave last year's Electronic Entertainment Expo how disappointing E3 2011 seemed to have been, with just a few sequels in popular franchises announced and the confirmation of the WiiU made rather lacklustre by the confusion surrounding the controller and the console's relation. This year, I reckon Sony and Microsoft have one choice: announce (or at the very minimum tease!) their new, next-generation consoles. It's time for us to see what the big gaming honchos have tucked up their sleeves for 2013, and if it's anything other than new hardware, I'll be very disappointed. UK games news source MCV has apparently been told by an "exemplary, high-level, 100% concrete" source that the PS4 and the 'Xbox Next' will be debuted at this year's conference. As always with rumours, MCV could not name their source, but it's an exciting feeling to think we might be on the brink of a new generation of video gaming nevertheless! Expect more details on what this year's E3 Expo holds for Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo closer to its opening date in June.
