New Details For Kinect Expansions At CES
Things have been pretty quiet on the Kinect front as of late, seeing as we know about the existence of Kinect Star Wars, Steel Batallion: Heavy Armour and Ryse (the big motion projects of 2012) rather than their storylines or release dates this year, but thanks to Microsoft's tech conference at the Consumer Electronics Show, we at least know some more uses we'll get out of the 360 peripheral in the next few months. A version of the camera will be released for Windows 7 software on February 1st, enabling interaction with computers via motion controls, and right now it seems likely Windows 8 will ship later this year with full integration of it too. Plus, there will be integration with shows like Sesame Street and other unrevealed US programmes later this year, in a feature that's currently creatively dubbed 'Kinect TV'. More details on both of these will be revealed in the next few months, and we can expect plenty more on Kinect (for example, whether it will be packaged free with the new Xbox console) at E3 this June!
