The Biggest Loser: Ultimate Workout Review (K: 6/10)
If Kinect gamers want more than just Your Shape: Fitness Evolved to keep fit in the coming months, The Biggest Loser: Ultimate Workout is another option, if not a particularly innovative one. Adapted from an American television show, Ultimate Workout injects much of the programme's trademark humour into your workouts, although the voice acting gets repetitive very quickly so fans will have to absolutely love the sounds of the US judges' vocal tones. All the physical exercises are nothing different to what we've seen in Wii Fit and EA Sports Active, and that could actually be said of the title as a whole: other than the jokes and quips, The Biggest Loser is completely lacking in the originality of its predecessors simply because there is very little that can be done to revitalise the fitness genre in gaming now Kinect has been introduced. Overall, Ultimate Workout does what it says in the title by really requiring commitment and effort from the player, however its inspiration expected the exact same of us years before, so £40 is a hard ask for gamers in 2011.
