Torchwood Prequel Novels Revealed

If the wait for the fourth season of Torchwood is becoming unbearable...well, it's going to stay that way, but all the same three novels filling in the gaps between series will be released in July and September. The books, set inbetween 2009's Children of Earth and this Summer's Miracle Day, will be called First Born, Long Time Dead and The Men Who Sold The World. The first of these, written by James Goss, will focus on protagonists Gwen and Rhys as they flee the government then come across a strange alien force as they take refuge in a small Welsh village. An old enemy returns in Long Time Dead as Suzie Costello walks the streets once more, but with no members of Torchwood left to fight her DCI Tom Cutler must find the source of her resurrection and bring an end to her reign of terror in Cardiff. The latter release sees Rex Matheson, a CIA agent at the heart of Miracle Day, face off against the evasive Mr Wynter and his array of experimental technology. You can expect to see First Born, Long Time Dead and The Men Who Sold The World in all good book retailers on July 21st, September 20th and October 4th respectively, plus catch my weekly reviews of the 10-part return of Torchwood to television in Miracle Day this Summer.
