Percy Jackson & The Sea Of Monsters Announced

The film adaptation of Percy Jackson & The Lightning Thief went down a storm with its younger audience, so it was only a matter of time until a sequel came into existence. Reports are saying that Percy Jackson & The Sea of Monsters, the second book in the series by Rick Riordan, will hit the big screen in late 2012 or early '13, once again starring Logan Lerman as Percy, Alexandra Daddrio as Annabeth Chase and Brandon T.Jackson as Grover Underwood. The plot of the book sees Camp Half Blood attacked by deadly sirens, forcing the three protagonists to travel to the Bermuda Triangle and close the Sea of Monsters before it consumes the Earth. There's no confirmation from distributor 20th Century Fox that The Sea of Monsters will be adapted, but frankly given the original's success they'd be fools not to move onto the other books in the series!
