Michael Rosenbaum's involvement with the final episodes of
Smallville has been kept a closely guarded secret until recently, when broadcaster The CW announced the actor would return as Lex Luthor for the two-hour movie set to close the show on May 15th, 'Finale'. Now, via his Twitter account Rosenbaum has revealed his scenes as the arch-nemesis to Tom Welling's up and coming Superman have been shot over the course of the week. Speaking to Zap2It, he said that he had "a wonderful time" shooting his last scenes with Welling, even remembering that he "had a tear in his eye at the end as he realised 'Man, this is really it'". Of the length of time Lex and Clark are together on the small screen in 'Finale', Michael Rosenbaum has only said that he shot "a couple of scenes with Tom", so there's probably a little bit more filming to do between the pair of adversaries next week, but once that's done it's safe to say that shooting on
Smallville will probably have wrapped up...champagne, anyone?
