Doctor Who Series 6 Airdate Revealed

The sixth series of Doctor Who will premiere on BBC One and BBC America on Saturday the 23rd of April, it's been revealed today. This is a fair bit later than previous season launches- in 2008, the fourth run of the revamped show started on April 5th with Partners In Crime, and last year's first new episode The Eleventh Hour aired on April 3rd, but as usual the show's return falls in line with the Easter Weekend. And that's not all; the opening story is a two-parter set in 1960s America, and the latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine says that we will see both episodes air on Saturday and Sunday respectively. There's no official confirmation from BBC One as to what time Part One will air or whether Part Two is on its way the day after, but keep checking back at On-Screen for updates!
