More Core Kinect Games Coming
Everyone who bought Kinect at its hefty £130 RRP last year can breathe a sigh of relief as it sounds like Microsoft has not forgotten its motion peripheral by any stretch of the imagination. Before today, we only knew of four 'core' (gamer-orientated) titles coming to Xbox 360 and utilising the camera- Star Wars; Steel Battalion Heavy Armour; Forza Motorsport 4 and Child of Eden- but senior producer for Microsoft Kevin Unagnst told CVG.com that what we've seen so far is "just the beginning" of what we can expect for Kinect in 2011. "There are many hardcore games coming- this is scratching the surface of what's happening [Child of Eden and downloadable shooter Gunstringer were on show at last week's X11 showcase], and certainly you're going to see more" says Unagnst. Now, if I can guess, this means either we'll be seeing a lot more of Star Wars, Steel Battalion and Forza at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in June with some announcements of Kinect games due in early 2012, or (the more likely option) new titles will be announced for release alongside those already revealed to be available this Autumn. Perhaps Gears of War: Exile, a rumoured spin-off from the main trilogy, will be shown off at E3, or perhaps some brand new franchises we've yet to hear about. Either way, keep checking back with On-Screen for all the latest information and developments on Kinect titles.
