Smallville: Kent Preview

Smallville isn't back until April 15th in the United States, but until then you can catch my reviews of the most recent episodes and this trailer for Kent. The story, similarly named to Episode 10 (Luthor), will return Clark to the parallel world where Lionel found him first in the cornfield and the fate of Superman changed as a result. As the video shows, the future Man of Steel must face up to what became of his father in the alternative universe, and it looks like Jonathan Kent has got hold of Kryptonite to punish the man who could have been his son. Whether that's all there is to the story remains to be seen, but we also see Clark walking towards a funeral that has been revealed as the ceremony for the parallel Oliver Queen's demise. Could this be another accidental use of the mirror box that forces Superman and Ultraman to switch places, or might Lionel have engineered this to buy himself and his new ally (UK fans, well...just you wait and see!) time to set an evil plot in motion, or could this even be another trial by Jor-El to make Clark persevere and become the hero he can be? John Schneider returns as Jonathan Kent, or at least the parallel version of him, but perhaps his seemingly resurrected normal-universe self will also offer some words of advice at the conclusion of the story or a warning of what's to come as Darkseid grows stronger...Look out for my full review of Kent on the weekend of April 15th!
